I got into minimal shoes years ago, and sometimes wear dressier shoes for work. What I look for is shoes that fit my foot well, look good, and feel good. TUNE penny loafers do all 3 well. I sized up half a size. The fit is fantastic, plenty of room for my toesies but the shoes still have a classy look, unlike the clown shoes others make. Nowhere DL I wish they were tighter, and nowhere do I wish they were looser, it is a good fit with enough room but no slop at all. The outsole does curve to follow the arch a bit, but it doesn't feel supporting, feels like a closer fit as VFFs do.
Only one star comes off because I would prefer a more premium leather (for aesthetics not performance), but for the price it is a great shoe and a great deal. I wish I'd bought them when they first came out!

These are a great option for business casual with slacks. I would say that you'll need pants with a smaller opening at the bottom so the shoes don't get swallowed up. My only issue is that I packed them for a business trip and the toe box of one got crushed in my suitcase. They don't pop back to their original shape so they look much more casual now. Had I known, I would have been more careful but I wish the front of the toe box was a little more resilient. I really like them overall.

I am a relative newbie when it comes to minimalist and barefoot style shoes and activities (I'm about....6 - 8 months into this lifestyle). In my transition from traditional shoe wear to minimalist and barefoot wear - there was a gap that needed to be fulfilled - casual and dressy style minimalist shoes. After searching (and continued searching) - I came across TUNEfootwear and boy am I glad that I did!
1st - Thank you to Mike for e-mailing me and helping me get the right sized ordered and for the 'hook up' *wink* *wink*
Sizing/Fit - Let's get straight to the main subject that can have either a positive or negative affect with your TUNEfootwear. TUNEfootwear tends to run small and as such - you'll need to order a size/half size bigger than you normally would order. I typically wear a size 11 (US) Men's in running shoes, and 10.5 (US) for casual/dressy type shoes. In TUNEfootwear - I wear an 11.5 (one whole size bigger than casual/one half size bigger than running).
I ordered a 12 based upon some e-mail exchanges I had with Mike and I had to send them back because they were just a tad too big (NOT BECAUSE OF THE TOE BOX) in length. I sent them back and received an 11.5 and have been well pleased with the fit/size of the shoe. They are not too tight, nor are they too loose. They don't seem to 'bind' on the feet and have all of the right features and designs needed in a minimalist style shoe.
Comfort/Function - IF YOU ARE INTO MINIMALIST AND BAREFOOT style shoes - you will find these shoes right at home! They are very light compared to regular casual shoes, very flexible, and just feel right overall. If you're brand new to minimalist and barefoot style shoes - you will need an adjustment period in these shoes before they feel 'right'. These shoes are comfortable and it will be hard for you to go back to regular style shoes (ESPECIALLY DRESS STYLE SHOES WITH A LIFTED HEEL)!
Now here's a little caveat. In the essence of minimalist style shoes - these shoes are very light weight (attributed to the type and amount of materials used) - which under normal circumstances is fine. However when the weather turns cold (mid to high 20s, teens, and 30 - 35 degrees F) - you will feel the elements! Since there's very little between your foot and the ground - you don't get that typical separation (and 'insulation') from the ground and you will feel the cold around your feet. If you're not outside for too long - this won't be an issue - but if you have to walk a lot or wait for an extended period of time - you may feel the cold for longer than you wish :-)
You can't go wrong with these shoes and they tend to look great with a pair of slacks, a dressy shirt, and a tie!
Let you're feet be happy in style!

I was blown away by the comfort of these shoes! I recently started a new job where I would no longer be able to go barefoot while in the office and was worried that I would have to wear some uncomfortable traditional dress shoe, until I found these. I am so happy with my purchase that I will be looking at the other styles for around town wear! The style fits in perfectly in my office. No one knows they are minimal unless I tell them. Great product! I am a very happy customer, thank you!
